The Inter Miami shot-stopper came charging out of his goal in the 12th minute of the game, attempting to head the ball away, only to misjudge the bounce and leave Matias Coccaro free and with an open goal. Remarkably, the Montreal forward fluffed his lines, deciding to cut in on his favoured right foot and giving Serhiy Kryvtsov time to get back and block the shot.

Unfortunately for Callender, his blushes weren't spared for particularly long as Montreal's Fernando Alvarez rose highest to head home from the resulting corner. The goalkeeper's moment of madness ultimately cost his team and Inter Miami did not even have the injured Lionel Messi to turn to for rescue, as the Argentine was forced to watch on from the stands.
