The Catalan giants are unable to register Olmo and Victor due to their financial woes which has made the duo free agents for now. The club will now enter into complicated legal proceedings as they attempt to plead their case.

According to , clubs like Atletico Madrid and Sevilla, who have a place on the La Liga Delegation Committee, are strongly opposing the Catalan club, but Real Madrid have taken a neutral stand as they consider their on-field arch-rivals as a strategic ally.
