The Bayern Munich chief suggested that they have to act soon to stop FIFA and UEFA from adding more competitions to the calendar which his harming the players who are plying their trade in Europe. He went on to add that European giants like Real Madrid are on the same page as them on this matter.

City boss Pep Guardiola had earlier hit out at the officials of FIFA, UEFA and the Premier League over their scheduling of matches while claiming that the players would 'die' if they continued to play so many games round the year.
WHAT ULI HOENESS SAID
Speaking to reporters at a promotional event, Hoeness said, "Enough is enough! This cannot continue like this. We have to stop the accumulation of competition. Big clubs like Real Madrid think the same as us, they have the same concerns. At some point, we have to set limits. What some FIFA and UEFA officials are planning is madness. Interest in football will decrease if you have matches every three days."
